leaf blowers
vacuums
smacking
ringing telephones
ice crushers
garbage disposals

it's due tomorrow

i'm more than half-way done

and it's not even 3:00 p.m. yet.

amazing how motivating a 

5:00 a.m. wake-up is.

i do my best writing
to my hip-hop heavy
work-out playlist.
weird, right?

i've been having really bizarre dreams this week.

one involved strange russians

secretly living in our attic

and peering down at us through ceiling vents.

creepy.

also,

i've taken to waking up

sometime in the 3:00 a.m. hour.

just to wake up.

then i roll over and go back to sleep.
